Jack Mack

Director at Large

NOSA Director at Large, Jack Mack is still going strong in the outdoors even at the young age of 68! He was raised in Thunder Bay but has travelled extensively, hunting and fishing all over Canada and the west coast, B.C. and even Alaska, taking on everything from moose to grizzlies.

Jack is an active member of the Westfort Fish and Game Club and these days spends most of his time hunting and fishing the LDML area.

Jack says of NOSA, "We've needed an organization like this to stand up and fight for our northern hunting and fishing rights and to leave a lasting legacy of our heritage for future generations."

He is concerned with the diminished level of commitment to wildlife management by our Provincial and Federal governments. He cites a growing nuisance bear problem in northern Ontario and the threat of deer population expansion in core moose habitat as major concerns of many northern sportsmen.

Jack also makes it clear that we ALL have a role in wise use of our fisheries. He states, "Resident anglers and First Nations subsistence anglers need to join their conservation efforts and goals toward sustaining our quality northwestern Ontario fishery."

NOSA is proud to have Jack Mack representing our membership as Director at Large.
